Self-Identities, Conversations with Convicted Women
Self-Identities is an educational podcast recorded within the walls of SCI Muncy, a maximum security correctional facility for women in Pennsylvania. The podcast features in-depth conversations with incarcerated women serving life sentences, moving beyond their crimes to explore their identities, perspectives, and personal journeys.
Hosted by feminist criminologist Dr. Kathryn Whiteley and co-produced by AJ Nutter, Self-Identities aims to shift the focus from sensationalized true crime to genuine understanding, encouraging listeners to engage thoughtfully with the complexities of identity and resilience within the criminal justice system.
